Norfolk Christian league honours long-serving referee

The Norfolk Christian Football League has honoured Referees Secretary, Chris Allen, for wonderful service to the league with the award of the Sam Hollinger trophy.

The long-service award was presented at the league’s AGM on June 10.
League Chairman, Jim Green, paid tribute to the breadth and the multi-faceted generosity of Chris’s contribution.
“Whether ready to observe a game, support referee colleagues, or report on a match situation with his customary thoroughness, Chris had been a wonderful servant to the league,” said Jim.
“Chris’s reports are a thing of wonder as we all wondered how he found the time to go into such depth, leaving no stone unturned.”
